Yes, I've made the switch. It took some thought, some discussion, and just a little bit of a gut check, but Eyes On Deck is now dead to me…
In its place rises the newer, sleeker, all-grown-up ScriptFaze, with its facelift and a dark-plum background to celebrate the moment. And. Uh… Exactly the same content.
Eyes On Deck has only been on its feet for three weeks, and already we’ve had more than 1200 hits. So thank you all for coming. Add a comment, why don’t you? That way we’ll know who you are. I’ve added a new map feature to the home page that shows where users are in the world when they click on the site—so there’s no hiding, now.
In the future, ScriptFaze will have a forum page, but for the time being feel free to add comments or email any questions. I’ll answer them myself, or drum up someone else who can. Lord knows with all the professionals out of work this Winter, they can afford to spend half-an-hour in front of their laptops. It’s a fun time to be working in the film industry, isn’t it? Post-writers strike, pre-actors strike, and now you can’t even get a third mortgage!
Anyways… It’s great to know that people are reading this blog. Now, please—tell other people about it!
And for those who are curious about my TV show pitch (see: On Being Broke)… They said MAYBE. We’re making changes, then returning to re-pitch next week. “Maybe” is a hell of a lot better than “no,” I’ll tell you that…
Thanks for reading, and be ready for some exciting posts on the legal and contractual side of screenwriting later this week… The FUN stuff.
